Interesting how the Internet has grown. I’ve been around this place since 1994. That’s eons in cyberspace time. So, I hear about a web site that is cataloging podcasts and somehow turning the audio into searchable text. This site is www.podzinger.com. So I head over there and try out the search by searching for “blacksmith.” Amazing at the results I got. Lots of it was not really applicable. However, I did follow one to a 411 podcast that interviewed this young man named Isaac who is a blacksmith and runs a podcast named Dailysonic. From there, I poke around their cool web site and search again for blacksmith. The results showed a personal interview that Isaac did on himself. and here is the link and info I found:
Blacksmith Doppelganger
by Isaac DolomIn an interview with… himself, Isaac Dolom talks about hot coals, wrought iron ipod holders, 100+ year old anvils, and how he discovered his love of blacksmithing.
Issac’s hand-made coal-fire forge is located in Windsor, CT.
Now, you may ask where I’m going with this blog post. I just wanted to show you that the internet is full of information and there are more than one blacksmith that is podcasting… not only web pages and such, but now you can even find stuff on audio and video! Gosh, it’s amazing… and a little scarry too! I wonder if Big Brother is archiving my telephone calls? What do you think?
