					<description>Well Frosty, if this excerpt thing is automatic, I sure as heck can't see it. I must of spent 4 hours this am searching the friggin wordpress forums for the answer... no go!

The best I can do, and I ask that you &lt;b&gt; save this information&lt;/b&gt; where you can reference it is to hard code your posts with the following:

&lt;code&gt;[...]
&lt;/code&gt;

I hope that came out right... I know that wp checks comments for html and I'm hoping the part about "code" with the carrots on either side should not be showing up. In fact, you only need to use the part between the code tags. Does that make any sense? Maybe there is an easier solution. However, everything I read to do was complicated.

The beauty about using this hand coded way, is that you control exactly where you want the excerpt to be inserted. If you have relatively short posts, there is no need. However, I know how you like to rant, and if that's the case, use the code to help our visitors see all the current documents available from the front "home" page without having to scroll to kingdom come... ;-)
